The launch is all about saying thank you to sponsors, artists and everyone wanted to participate.
The 2023 Smile Festival, commonly known as the “Glimlag Fees” officially opened on Tuesday at Moonshine restaurant in Menlyn, east of Pretoria.

The festival is a fundraiser for small non-profit organisations.
Sponsor representatives, influencers, artists and journalists were among the more than 170 attendees. Martin Bester performed at the launch.
“The launch’s primary objective is to delight sponsors, artists, and anyone else who wants to take part in the success of the upcoming event,” event manager Nadia Adlem told Rekord.

She added that a lot of sponsors contributed to the success of the initiative.
“Identified small NPOs will each receive a share of the raised funds.”

The event would be suitable for the whole family, according to the organisers.
Children will have a fantastic play area where they may spend the remainder of the day playing while adults enjoy music,
Adlem said in the VIP section the guests “will be treated like a celebrity”.
