Menlo Park hosts Oktober beer festival

Capital Beer Craft Academy in Menlo Park was the place to be this weekend for its Oktober beer festival.
The academy’s Johan Auriacombe said the beer festival took place from October 13 to 15 .
He said every year, the academy chooses a weekend either in September or October to host the event.
“We are celebrating the festival by having lots of German fun activities, which include German beer, food, music and of course, South African beer.”
Johan said the festival started with a bang on Friday, hosting mainly young people, while on Saturday, more families attended and Sunday was the Oupas’ and Oumas’ turn.
He said beer and sport went hand in hand, so showing the Rugby World Cup matches on the big screen was a must.
