Pretoria Pride paints Centurion in rainbow colours
The capital city burst into colour on Saturday as the 14th annual Pretoria Pride Parade brought together thousands under the theme ‘Uniting the Rainbow’, celebrating love, diversity and inclusion in a lively show of solidarity.
The 14th edition of Pretoria Pride brought vibrant colour, music and unity to the streets of Centurion on October 4.
The annual Pride parade, hosted by Bruce, was held under the theme “Uniting the Rainbow,” and once again transformed Centurion into a celebration of love, visibility, and inclusion.
Kicking off at noon from the Centurion Rugby Club, participants marched and danced through the streets in a joyful display of solidarity and self-expression.
Leading the parade was a horse-drawn chariot carrying Mr Gay Nation SA 2025, Rodney Prins, who proudly waved the rainbow flag.
“I am very honoured to be here and raise awareness,” Prins said.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent and uplift the queer community.
The event featured vibrant floats, performances by local drag queens, live entertainment, exhibitions, and a bustling market.
Spectators lined the streets, cheering, and motorists honked in support as the parade passed, adding to the festive spirit.
Now in its 14th year, Pretoria Pride continues to grow as one of the capital’s most colourful celebrations of equality and diversity, a reminder that unity truly is at the heart of the rainbow.
