More unhappiness about service delivery

Resident not happy about Tshwane metro's service delivery.

To LR, who wrote in the Rekord of 20 May – Unhappiness about service delivery by Tshwane metro, I would like to add the following:

I have asked the Council to cut the grass in the veld at the corner of Veda and Enkeldoorn roads, Montana, as have done for 20-plus years.

Upon my request this time around, the Council advised that it was not its responsibility and that I should contact the State. What has changed over that past 20 years?

Should this veld burn down, our gardens adjacent to it will be destroyed. Furthermore the veld is bordered by traders who destroy the fence around it which residents fought to be erected, for years.

All communication was also sent to the DA ward councillor, and to date, the veld remains a huge fire hazard and a security risk area.
