Thanks to unknown benefactors

Residents thank anonymous bill payers.

A few months ago, my wife and I had a late breakfast at Brewers restaurant in Waverley.

We enjoyed the meal and when we were done, we asked for the bill but to our huge surprise and joy we were told that it had been settled.

We wanted to thank our benefactors, but they had already left.

I suffered a heart attack shortly afterwards and was hospitalised for nearly three weeks.

Last night, to sort of celebrate my life and improving health, we went to The Ocean Basket in Waverley where we enjoyed a well-prepared meal.

When I asked for the bill, I was informed by the manager that it had already been paid by an anonymous client.

Bearing in mind our circumstances, we were more than overcome and would like through your newspaper to say thank you so much to our benefactors who will never know what their kindnesses have meant to us.

God bless you.
