Dear editor

Each time we vote for a party promising us change

Its election time in South Africa and everybody wants change. I want change too, but it is difficult to understand how we as South Africans continue to put an X mark on our ballot papers and expect different results.

Each time we vote for a party promising us change, but since my birth in 1994, all I have witnessed is elders telling me how much has not changed, how life has become harder.

In my opinion there is a need for people to start applying thought to what they do. For example I cannot shoot my friend and expect no blood at the scene, so what I am saying is we cannot put an X in one block of the ballot paper and expect change from that same result each time we vote.
