Log-leading Kaizer Chiefs had a narrow escape when they faced bsa Premiership league defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, in a sizzling league encounter at FNB Stadium on Saturday. The match ended in a one-all draw.
The Brazilians made their intentions to win clear as early as the ninth minute when Teko Modise opened the scoring. They were determined to prove they were one of best teams in the league.
However, Amakhosi were just as eager not to go down and George Lebese levelled the score to make sure that Amakhosi’s dream of winning the league this season was kept alive.
This was the fourth draw in a row for Brazillians after their stunning victory against Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 28 September.
They played a nil-all draw against Bidvest Wits at Loftus Stadium on 18 October, one-all draw against Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on 22 October and 0-0 draw against Black Aces at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 5 November.
