Lebese finding it tough at Sundowns
The Mamelodi born player is yet to make his mark at Sundowns despite his big move from Kaizer Chiefs.
Mamelodi Sundowns winger George Lebese is yet to play this season for the Pretoria side.
The Mamelodi-born player made a high profile move from Kaizer Chiefs to Sundowns last season to his fulfil his dreams of playing for his boyhood club.
In his first season for Downs, Lebese made 15 appearances, scoring two goals in the process.
This season has been a different story, however, having failed to even make the 18 men squad in some of the games.
The 29-year-old player is running out of time and with the likes of Aubrey Ngoma, Themba Zwane, Anthony Laffor and Gaston Sirino all fighting for that left wing spot, it will be extremely difficult for him to feature regularly.

Over the weekend, the winger was left out again during the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Legacy Cup where Downs faceoff against Amazulu.

Before his big move to Sundowns, Lebese was a regular for Chiefs where he spent nine years with the Soweto giants. He scored 22 goals in more than 150 appearances and was part of Chiefs squads that won the league twice between 2012 and 2015.
Lebese’s team will be in action this week as they take on Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday night in the first round of the Telkom Knockout competition.
Coach Pitso Mosimane is back having completed his coaching training last weekend. It’s unclear whether the former Bafana coach will give Lebese his first run of the season, but judging by the form of the team, it remains unlikely.
