SPORT: SuperSport United tight-lipped on Lebese
The winger, who’s currently on holiday in Dubai, has expressed his desire to remain with SuperSport.
SuperSport United are still mum on George Lebese’s future with the club.
The Mamelodi-born winger spent the last five months of last season with Matsatsantsa after signing a six-month loan deal with them from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The deal expires next month and he could return to Downs if SuperSport do not sign him permanently.
Although Lebese featured less than 10 times for SuperSport, many fans believe he may have done enough to secure himself a permanent move. He failed to find the net in his seven appearances for the club.

The winger (30), who’s currently on holiday in Dubai, has expressed his desire to remain with SuperSport having signed for them in January after struggling for game time at Sundowns.
Lebese made his name during his days at Kaizer Chiefs, where he won the league title twice between 2012 and 2015.
SuperSport coach Kaitano Tembo applauded Lebese and other players on loan who helped United finish sixth in the standings.
“Well, we had three players on loan and their contribution was immense with Macuphu, who came and scored five goals for us. [Phumlani] Ntshangase played a role, same applies to George even though he came late, he was not in the right condition but he played a few games for us and we appreciate that,” Tembo said this week.
“But regarding next season we have to respect that they are not our players… and if there is any development we have to go back to their parent club and that’s where the talks should start.”
