SPORT: SuperSport sends Lebese back to Downs, fans react
During his brief spell at SuperSport, Lebese made seven appearances but failed to find the back of the net.
SuperSport United have confirmed that George Lebese would be dispatched back to Mamelodi Sundowns after deciding against signing him permanently.
The Mamelodi-born winger signed a six-month loan deal with Matsatsantsa back in January after he struggled to get game-time at Sundowns.
During his brief spell at SuperSport, Lebese made seven appearances but failed to find the back of the net. He is set to return to Sundowns at the end of the month when his loan term expires.

Lebese made his name during his days at Kaizer Chiefs, where he won the league title twice between 2012 and 2015.
Fans reacted negatively on social media after reports emerged that United were not keen to keep the winger. Many felt that the 30-year-old star was not giving it his all and needed change to get back to his old self.
In a tweet, Gill Otlotleng, said the winger could be in a phase where he was falling out of love with the game.
“George Lebese fell out of love with the sport. You can see it in his body language when he plays, I think he’s still involved because it covers the (his) bills. He looks happier when he’s hanging around hip hop rappers and celebrities. If it were up to him he’d be a rapper,” he said.
“George Lebese must go back to the drawing board. Get a team that has less pressure even if it means moving out of Gauteng. He needs a fresh start,” Sandile Qakaza tweeted.
Ayakhanya Khoselihle was doubtful if Lebese would ever play regularly for a PSL team.
“I doubt if George Lebese will ever play as a regular again in the PSL. Is it him or the coaches? It cannot be all the coaches obviously; he must ask himself some questions.” Khoselihle said in a tweet.
Although the Pretoria club did not keep Lebese, they have set their eyes on the Sundowns duo of Lucky Mohomi or Aubrey Ngoma. Both players have struggled for game-time last season and could come in handy for Matsatsantsa.
