Top field for Glacier Series event in Pretoria
The Glacier Junior Golf Series moves to Pretoria Country Club this weekend.
The Glacier Junior Series has drawn a strong field for this Sunday’s tournament at Pretoria Country Club.
Silver Lakes’ Keegan McLachlan will tee it up as a winner on the series this year already. McLachlan was the winner of the Els Family Tournament in May, so he already has his place in October’s National Final secured.
McLachlan is also the defending champion of the national title, and while a win for him on Sunday would mean the next best golfer qualifies for the national final, he does add to the competitive edge of this field.
Modderfontein’s Eric Wowor is another winner who will tee it up on Sunday. Wowor won the Larry Nestadt Tournament on the series in February, beating McLachlan on that occasion.
Slade Pickering is also in the field, having narrowly missed out on second place in the Larry Nested Tournament, and the tournament includes talented juniors Emilio Pera and Dino Capazario.
