Underwater hockey club presents open day

The Underwater Hockey Club of Pretoria will present an open day on Saturday 8 September.

Although underwater hockey may not be considered a mainstream sport, this popular sport is still growing in South Africa.

South Africa is also performing very well at international level in underwater hockey.

This coming Saturday (8 October) the Pretoria Underwater Hockey Club will present an open day and all interested parties are invited to attend and to get more information about this exciting sport.

The open day will especially focus on school-aged junior participants (9-18-year olds) who want to learn more about the sport.

This event will be presented at the new swimming pool of the Afrikaans Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria (AHMP) in Bondstreet, Clydesdale opposite Loftus Versfeld.

The proceedings will start at 09:00 in the morning with a 3×3 tournament.

Although only registered players will participate in this tournament, everyone is welcome to attend as spectators. It will also give new interested players an idea how the sport is practiced.

The official open day will start at 14:00 and the proceedings will last until 16:00
