Harlequins is ready for big cricket season
The MonitorNet Harlequins Cricket Club is ready to compete with self-confidence against the best clubs in the Northern Premier League Cricket in the coming season.
An innovative new management team and an exciting new main sponsor have enabled the MonitorNet Harlequins Cricket Club to look forward with great anticipation to the coming season.
The club recently announced this ground-breaking partnership with local armed response company MonitorNet and the new management believes that this partnership will enable the club to compete with most other rivals in the Northern Cricket Union’s top Premier League.
This partnership will create a firm foundation for the club’s future success and provide a stable platform from which Harlequins can continue their success on the pitch and maintain their innovative approach off it.
“The Harlequins Cricket Club has recently elected a new management team consisting of senior- and junior club representatives. Securing MonitorNet as our long-term main partner give us the opportunity to concentrate on expanding our structures and providing players with a first-rate club cricket experience,” said the club’s new chairman, Pieter Schutte.
He emphasized that the two partners really understand each other’s needs and that they share the same values that drive the sport on club level.
MonitorNet Director, Wynand Grove, told Rekord that their love for cricket is just one of the reasons why they want to get involved with the sport at club level.
“It’s also our desire to get involved in building up your community and club cricket is the ideal platform for it,” said Grové.
He said MonitorNet’s own values are embedded in the qualities of teamwork, passion and commitment.
“We believe Harlequins is in this regard completely aligned with us. We want to give back to the community by assisting local cricket players to partake in a healthy life style,” Grove emphasized.
Steven Kruger, head coach at MonitorNet Harlequins, told Rekord that the club does not have any superstars or provincial players, but they are positive to end this season between the top three in the Northerns Premier League.
“We’re a young side, but we are going from strength to strength and we firmly believe that MonitorNet Harlequins will be the club of the future in Pretoria,” said Kruger.
