The exciting and unique Pretoria Boys High School 24-hour MTB Relay Challenge will be presented at the school this coming weekend.
The all-day event is scheduled to start on Saturday the 10th of November, with proceedings wrapping up on Sunday the 11th and alluring prices will be at stake for participants.
Making use of a 6-kilometre lap, which is entirely contained within the safety of the Pretoria Boys High School grounds, riders in the PBHS 24 Hour MTB Relay Challenge will attempt to complete as many loops of the circuit as possible.
There are team and solo entry categories and a shortened 6-hour race complimenting the full 24-hour endurance event.
The entry options include solo, two, four, six and eight rider entries to both the full 24-hour challenge and the 6-hour races. Both races also boast a school’s category in which four riders represent their school against rival institutions of learning.
Entertainment will be provided to ensure the vibe is electric throughout, with the school’s pipe band headlining the live acts which also include a boere-orkes.
The chill zone will be broadcasting the Springboks’ clash with France on Saturday evening and the tented village will ensure everyone – riders and fans alike – can stay on-site.
There will also be a communal braai area and Carel ‘Raasbekkie’ Bezuidenhout hosting the proceedings to ensure there is never a dull moment.
The 24-hour racing action kicks off at 10:00am on Saturday 10 November, with the 6-hour event beginning four hours later at 14:00.
Limited entries will still be accepted, but interested parties will respond as soon as possible. For more information please visit www.pbhs24hrmtb.co.za or contact Rudolf Botha on 083-236-8933 or via email at rudolf@petrichoradventures.co.za
