SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane’s loyal ambassadors said “Yes I Do”

Two of the long-time supporters and ambassadors of the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane got married recently.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane are delighted about the news that celebrity couple and long-time supporters Donnalee Roberts and Ivan Botha have tied the knot on 17 May.

Roberts and Botha, renowned for co-producing, writing and starring in several award-winning local films, exchanged vows at the charming Blaauwklippen Vineyards in the Stellenbosch Winelands. The glamour couple has been loyal supporters of the Tshwane leg of the SPAR Women’s Challenge and continues to add to the glitz of the popular race.

“We would like to congratulate Ivan and Donnalee on their wedding and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness. We are fortunate to have such loyal ambassadors that espouse the loving spirit of the race promoting and empowering women in society,” said Retha Ingenbleek, Race Organiser and Sponsorship Controller, SPAR, North Rand.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane ambassadors attended the official annual launch at the Sun Arena, Time Square just days before they said their ‘I dos’. This year’s official race theme “Yes I Am” was announced at the launch event which asks the women of Tshwane to embrace who they are as mothers, sisters, and friends.

“My wife Donnalee and my daughter (Amelie) loves me fully for who I am, this makes me feel #YesIAm good enough, loved and strong,” Botha answers without flinching when he was asked about who and what inspires him to be true to his authentic self.

The power couple will attend the race on 3 August, at SuperSport Park.

Ivan and Donnalee’s wedding will be exclusively featured in the July issue of the women’s magazine, Sarie.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane takes place on 3 August 2019,14h00 at SuperSport Park Stadium in Centurion.
