SuperSport Park to host Festival of Running again
It's time again for the annual Festival of Running, where athletes of all ages and levels get the opportunity to be part of a unique running experience within the boundaries of the SuperSport Park cricket stadium.

On Saturday 8 June SuperSport Park will once again host the Stor-Age Festival of Running, an innovative in-stadia festival for every type of runner.
The event has become a highlight on the running calendar and this year promises to be even bigger than the last, where SuperSport Park will transform into a running hub to host over 2 500 runners.
The Stor-Age Festival of Running consists of three different race categories from which to choose, namely the Solo Challenge, Relay and the Schools Challenge, tailoring the race for both amateur and seasoned runners. Participants will run in laps around the stadium and along the grass embankments to complete the two-kilometre route.
“The format for the event is very similar to last year, with participants challenging themselves to run 2km laps in and around the SuperSport Park precinct within two hours,” event organiser, Pierre Joubert explained.
According to Joubert, the event is designed to have something for the entire family and they expect this year to be even busier than the last.
“We are looking at making things a little bit more festive this year with a kid’s area and a variety of food stalls. We really want people to stay for the full day and so this year we will have something for the whole family,” Joubert added.
Stor-Age spokesperson Chris Oosthuizen said the Festival of Running as a great way for the entire Pretoria running community and their families to come together and have some fun at SuperSport Park.
“We are looking forward to meeting all the runners on the day, which is just around the corner,” Oosthuizen concluded.
Runners can get more information and register for their race on the official website: www.festivalrunning.com.
