Top bowlers in action at CBC Old Boys club during long weekend

The prestigious Shamrock Bowls Challenge tournament will be hosted at CBC Old Boys Club in Pretoria this coming long weekend.

This coming long weekend, from 15 to 17 June, the CBC Old Boys Bowling Club will be hosting the Shamrock Bowls Challenge for the second consecutive year.

As usual, this prestigious tournament will once again attract some of South Africa’s best bowlers to Pretoria.

The original Shamrock Bowls Challenge tournament was launched last year and from day one this tournament generated huge interest and it was highly successful.

The competition consists of 24 sides and, except for the various local participants, it also has attracted players from Boland, Western Province, Eden, North West, Kwa Zulu Natal as well as many from Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni and the West Rand.

Prominent national and provincial players are again participating and thereby leading to a high quality and competitive bowls tournament.

This popular Bowls Challenge has prize money of R80 000 raised through the generosity of the sponsors.

The CBC Old Boys club is situated at 78 George Storrar Drive, Groenkloof. Spectators are invited by the organizers to come and watch excellent, quality bowls. The Club offers refreshments and food during the three days of action.
