#Yes I Am attending the SPAR Women’s Challenge – 7de Laan actor

Several stars from the well-known TV soapie, 7de Laan, will attend the SPAR Women's Challenge Tshwane again this year and participants will be able to meet them personally.

7de Laan actor Jacques Blignaut and fellow cast members will once again add some star quality to the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane by joining thousands of participants at SuperSport Park Stadium in Centurion on 3 August.

The popular soapie and its talented cast have been long-standing supporters of the race which attracts a whopping 25 000 runners each year. They do not only shine in front of the cameras but add sparkle to the annual race motivating those brave enough to take on the 5km and 10km distances.

Blignaut, who portrays the role of Vince, will on race day be joined by fellow cast members Mimi Mahlasela (Aggie), Hildegardt Whites (Bonita) and Ingrid Paulus (Vanessa). This year’s race participants will have the chance to meet and rub shoulders with these 7de Laan favourites on race day.

The 7de Laan actors will not only be there in support of the thousands of women, but are also creating awareness for the Help-Net Fund. This fund is a non-profit organisation which focuses on the care and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and abandoned children. The organisation establishes places of safety countrywide.

The 7de Laan cast has adopted this year’s raced theme “Yes I am…” which serves as self-affirmation for all the strong women of Tshwane.

Blignaut said the theme did not only require introspection but served as a reminder of who he was because of others.

“Yes, I Am a husband, a father, a new creation and a proud South African. Everyday people inspire me to be exactly who I am,” Blignaut said.

Women can still enter the race, not only to meet some of their favourite soapie stars, but also join thousands of fellow Tshwane locals for a fun day out.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane takes place on 3 August 2019, 14h00 at SuperSport Park Stadium in Centurion. Entry forms are available at selected SPAR stores and online at sparladiestshwane.co.za For more information and to stay on top of the latest race news, “Like” the SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane Facebook page or follow @SPARladiespta on Twitter.
