After playing a match against the Sharks team in Durban as part of the latter’s SuperRugby preparation, the Russians visited Pretoria.

Here they were entertained by the Russian ambassador, Ilya Rogachev, during a cocktail function last week.

Several South African rugby personalities, as well as members of the Tuks women’s team, were among the guests.

The Bulls legend and former Springbok captain, Victor Matfield, was also among the guests and he received a special gift from the Russian captain, Vasiliy Artemyev.
