So much more than wine, cheese and olives
The annual Leriba Hotel and Spa Harvest Festival takes place this weekend and guarantees to be a culinary extravaganza not to be missed.
A fun yet educational children’s alcohol-free wine tasting experience will make the annual Harvest Festival at Leriba Hotel and Spa even more unique this year.
The non-alcoholic wine tasting, during which the young ones will learn about the different grape variations such as pinotage and merlot, will however definitely not be the only excitement for the children at the must-attend event.
The annual Harvest Festival – a wine, cheese and olive extravaganza – takes place from 30 April to 2 May in Centurion.
Laser Adventures will also entertain the kids at the river lapa area with games such as laser war games and laser pigeon shooting.
More than 80 of the country’s wine farms will have their award-winning produce available during the three-day taste journey. Wines can be tasted and purchased at cellar prices and the wine farms will deliver wines to homes or wine can be collected on the day at a designated pick-up area.
Wine and good food will be accompanied by classical music by young local talent. On Saturday, the Tshwane Youth Orchestra will entertain the guests while.
On Sunday, Mart-Marie Snyman, the pianist from Jazzfouronsix and Siobhan Lloyd-Jones, the violinist from the Anything Goes Trio will showcase their talent. Starlight Musicians’ violinist Ellré Jacobs will provide the entertainment on Monday.
On the menu will be gourmet burgers and sandwiches, paella and pizzas while the five-star Hemingway’s Restaurant will have its award-winning a la carte menu, light fresh Bistro meals and of course, bubbly and oysters on offer.
In addition to safe and secure parking, complimentary transport will also be offered to and from the Gautrain station to Leriba Hotel. Guests using Uber for the first time, can use the promo code ‘’Oesfees” to receive a R150 discount.
Tickets for the Harvest Festival can be bought at Computicket and a lucky winner who buys four or more tickets at Computicet, can win a bush or coastal experience worth more than R15 000. Tickets can also be purchased at Leriba on the day.
