Sensational weekend of cricket ahead

SuperSport Park in Centurion will host the second and final test match between South Africa and New Zealand this weekend.

The South African national cricket team will take on New Zealand in the second and final Test match in Supersport Park, Centurion on Saturday.

The Proteas, who ranked 7th in the latest Test rankings, were dethroned from their number one status last year by India.

The first Test is underway in Durban at the Kingsmead Stadium.

Proteas have been boosted by the return of fast bowlers Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander.

Before Friday, both had not played a Test match this year, but judging by their devastating spells on Saturday , it seems the Proteas are back to their best.

Before rain interrupted play on Saturday, just before lunch, the Proteas were on cloud nine as they had NZ at sixes and sevens. They were 15/2 with Steyn getting the wickets of Martin Guptill and Tom Latham.

With captain AB de Villiers out injured, the team was led by Pretoria-born Faf Du Plessis.
