Notice: Six areas experiencing water disruptions

The city says repairs to burst pipe was behind the water cuts.

The Tshwane metro has issued an urgent notice to the residents of six areas in the city that are experiencing water supply  interruptions

The city said some areas in the east were experiencing water cuts due to a burst pipe.

“Glenwood and Lynnwood Glen in Pretoria East are experiencing water shortages as a result of pipe bursts. The metro’s team of plumbers is on site fixing the leakages. Restoration time is expected to be late afternoon today,” said the metro said in a statement.

It also said an investigation was underway to uncover the cause of the disruptions in Montana.

“In the meantime, the city’s plumbers are investigating the reason for a water supply shortage in La Montana where the feeding reservoir has enough water to supply the suburb. No visible pipe burst has been identified as yet,” read the statement

The city has reiterated its call for residents of Pretoria to save water and abide by the restrictions.
