GALLERY: Silver Lakes celebrates 25 years in style

"We have quite a lot of sponsors contributing to our success and we are very grateful to all of them." Marketing manager Nienkie Mooman said

Adreline junkies had a field day with sky-diving and wall climbing as the Silver Lakes golf estate celebrated 25 years at the weekend.

Hundreds of people flocked to the east of Pretoria estate’s country club on Friday and Saturday for activities that included skateboarding, dancing, go-karting and live music.

Many people said they had a great time and would like to come back.

“My young family from Fourways came here on Friday and I must say, we have had a great time and my kids do not want to leave,” James Canone said.

Titus Magubane said: “I would definitely come back for something like this, where my kids can have as much fun as me and my wife all in one place.”

Estate marketing manager Nienkie Mooman said the estate would look into having a similar event in the future.

“We will discuss what’s the way forward from here.”

The east of Pretoria is, according to a Seeff Property Group report, the go-to area for property investment for high-net-worth individuals.

The estate thanked its valued supporters and sponsors for the success.

“We have quite a lot of sponsors contributing to our success and we are very grateful to all of them.

“Entry was free because we wanted as many people as possible to come, especially families, to have fun with us,” Mooman said.
