Baby boy drowns in Centurion

“CPR was performed by medical personnel on the scene and the child was transported to Unitas hospital in a critical condition.”

A one-year-old baby boy nearly drowned on Saturday afternoon at End Street in Lyttleton, Centurion.

CERT-SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns said the toddler had fallen into a water feature.

“CPR was performed by medical personnel on the scene and the child was transported to Unitas hospital in a critical condition.”

Netcare 911 transported the child. ER24, CERT-SA, and Emer-G-Med assisted on the scene.
