Two dead, two injured in Erasmia accident
The drivers of a bakkie and light motor vehicle were transported to hospitals.

Two people died and two were injured in a head-on collision on the M26 near Helena Street in Erasmia on Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened around 15:00, according to Ambu-Link Ambulance Services paramedic Xander Loubser.
“The driver of the bakkie sustained moderate injuries. A male and female from the light motor vehicle were fatally wounded and the driver seriously wounded.”
Loubser said the Tshwane Fire Brigade had to use jaws of life to remove the fatally wounded people from the light motor vehicle.

“The two people were declared dead on scene by Best Care Ambulance. The drivers of the bakkie and light motor vehicle were transported to various hospitals by other medical services,” he said.
“The cause of the accident will form part of police investigations.”
Loubser has advised drivers to be cautious on the roads as they have seen a rise in accidents since level 3 of the lockdown began.
“Not all accidents are related to the alcohol ban being lifted but because there are more vehicles on the road. We can see there is a rise in accidents as compared to when there were fewer vehicles on the road.”
Drivers should drive for people around them and not only for themselves, he added.
