Eskom implementing load reduction in the north of Pretoria
The reduction started at 17:00 and will last until 22:00.
Eskom is implementing load reduction from 17:00 until 22:00 on Saturday.
Eskom said this was made to: ‘’avoid network overloading in high-density areas’’.
In Tshwane, these will be areas affected: Ekangala A, B, C, D, E, and F; Jakkalas; Klipgat; Kopanong; Kromkuil, Kudupe unit 1,2,5,8,11 and D.
Ga-Rankuwa Units 3,5,7,8,10,15,17,21,23,24, Ga-Rankuwa View, Mabopane blocks A, B, D, CV, M, N, S, U and X, Makabyaneng, Mmakaunyana, Masoga, Mathibestad, Soshanguve BB, NN, NNME1, PP East, T Ext, V and W, Soshanguve south, Swartdam, Winterveld and Vuka was also among the areas to be affected.
“During the load reduction implementation, customers are urged to switch off all their electrical appliances to avoid possible damage due to power surges when supply returns.”
