Man busted with drugs in Centurion
It is suspected that the consignment of narcotics was destined for the many parties during this Halloween weekend

A suspected drug dealer was caught transporting a large number of narcotics in Lyttelton on Friday morning.
Around 09:00, Lyttelton police embarked on an intelligence-driven operation targeting drugs when they identified a suspicious vehicle, said police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller.
“They managed to stop the vehicle at the corner of End and Rabie streets.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle was transporting a large number of narcotics,” he said.
It is suspected that the consignment of narcotics was destined for the many parties during this Halloween weekend, Miller added.
The driver was arrested and taken to Lyttelton police station.
“We would like to remind our community that the police have a zero tolerance on drug offenses, and although there has been a relaxation in the lockdown regulations, there is still a strict midnight curfew.”
Miller said the suspect would appear before the Pretoria magistrate’s court on a charge of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.
Lyttelton police station commander Brigadier TP Mathlala thanked his officers for their dedication and effort.
