Much-anticipated night market held in the east

“We wanted to host this event for some time now, but every time it got shut down because of the lockdown or rain.”

Blos Cafe hosted their first Kooptober night market event on Friday evening.

Event organiser Anitia De Wet said the event was about getting people together and having fun following the lockdown.

“This is our first event and I like what I see,” she said.

“People have smiles on their faces and I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. We wanted to host this event for some time now, but every time it got shut down because of the lockdown or rain.”

She said the event was family-friendly as they catered for both children and their parents.

“We had play rooms for the kids and lots of surprises for the little ones. “

We also had a beer stand for the dads.”

De Wet said they were planning to host the market every October.
