Woman behind bars after husband stabbed to death

Ga-Rankuwa police are investigating a case of murder after a woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death in Ga-Rankuwa View on Saturday.
The couple were allegedly involved in an argument when the situation escalated and a fight broke out, according to police spokesperson Captain Matthews Nkoadi.
“The woman claims the victim tried to attack her with a knife,” Nkoadi said.
“She alleges that, in self-defence, she managed to grab the knife from him and stabbed him once in his upper body.

“The victim succumbed to his injuries on the scene and was declared dead by paramedics.”
Nkoadi said police were investigating a case of murder and the woman remained in police custody.
She was expected to appear in the Ga-Rankuwa magistrate’s court soon on charges of murder.
