Pretoria in for a hot week
The mercury for the week will peak on Tuesday at 38°C before dropping towards the weekend.

Pretoria is in for a hot start to the week with highs reaching 37° C on Monday, according to the SA Weather Service.
The peak of the week’s heat will be on Tuesday when clear skies and highs of 38° C are expected while the Monday overnight low will dip to 19° C.
Wednesday is expected to bring some respite, with partly cloudy weather and a high of 33° C.
Thursday and Friday’s highs of 35° C will be accompanied by clear skies before the weekend brings cooler temperatures with Saturday and Sunday expected to reach 30° C and 31° C respectively.
The service issued an advisory for possible heat stroke, heat cramps and heat exhaustion for Pretorians exposed to long periods in the heat or during physical activity.
