Strawberry carnival helps raise funds for local church.
A farmer in Brits donated about 300 kilograms of strawberries for a fundraising event for the church

The NG church in Wonderboom South held a Strawberry Carnival on Saturday.
The Reverend Frik Jordaan said that the carnival was held to raise funds for the church and its 300 elderly members.

“A farmer in Brits donated about 300 kilograms of strawberries for the fundraising event for the church,” said Rev Jordaan.
The strawberry carnival, the second the church has held, had many stalls with delicious food, including strawberry smoothies made from the freshest strawberries, and pancakes.

The export-quality strawberries were sold at giveaway prices. The strawberry carnival started at 08:30 and ran throughout the day at 920 Twelfth Avenue.
