Residents not happy with the municipality
Residents of Eendracht are not happy with municipal service delivery.

EENDRACHT – Poor service delivery upsets residents.
They say service delivery deteriorates despite the repeated complaints they have sent to the Govan Mbeki Municipality.
Sceptic tanks are not drained in time and there is a constant water and power cut, said Ms Hester Bestel (74).
“They only come after three months to drain the sceptic tanks, but we pay every month.
“Last month sewerage was flowing into my bath and toilet because they did not drain it, then I was forced to hire people to fix their mess.
“The sewerage stinks and is not hygienic.
“I am really upset about this, because we are pensioners who survive on grants and we cannot afford plumbers.
“Even if you call the municipality’s call centre, they take long to assist you while you lose money and the call centre personnel are rude.
“The municipality keeps on making promises but never fulfil them.
“Even at the cemetery nothing has been done.”
