Marietjie Bodenstein emerged as the Sasol Secunda Bowling Club Women’s Singles champion after a weekend of competitive bowls at the club from August 22 to 23.
A total of 20 women took to the greens and competed over four rounds to determine the final four who advanced to the finals.

The final, played on August 23, saw Bodenstein face Louise Pretorius in a battle for the championship.

Bodenstein maintained control of the match and secured a convincing 21-11 victory to claim the women’s singles title, with Pretorius finishing as runner-up.
The contest for third place was equally competitive as Gwynneth Gerout-Walters took on Elize Grey.

Gerout-Walters delivered a solid performance to win 21-12 and secure third place in the tournament.
The successful tournament once again showcased the depth of talent within the Sasol Bowling Club’s women’s section and provided an exciting weekend of bowls for players and spectators alike.
