Operation Valingozi Exercise plannery committee hopes for the best.
The Community Awareness to Emergency Response will host an exercise which will test the readiness of the emergency management in the Govan Mbeki Municipality.

SECUNDA – The Community Awareness to Emergency Response (Caer) will be hosting an emergency exercise which has been named Operation Valingozi on 28 November at the Leandra N17 highway off-ramp.
Operation Valingozi aims emphasising road safety and to test the readiness of emergency management in Leandra and the whole of Govan Mbeki.
It will evaluate the emergency response and mitigation actions of the Govan Mbeki Municipal Fire Station, Rescue and Disaster Management, the Sasol Fire Department, ER24, Langamed and MP EMS, the Govan Mbeki Municipality, provincial traffic officers, the local police and hospitals.
The incident command system and the communication structure among emergency services will be also evaluated.
After the exercise there will be a feedback session for all stakeholder representatives.
The Caer planning committee meets every Wednesday to strategise and prepare for the operation.
