Support Little Paws, Big Hearts

Help organisation to care for animals in Secunda and surrounding areas.

KINROSS – The new animal welfare organisation, Little Paws, Big Hearts, recently had another outreach day and visited the informal settlement at Holfontein.

They dipped the animals, gave food and water and educated the owners on how to take good care of their pets.

They also injected the dogs so that they cannot get pregnant, but according to Ms Nel Claasens from this organisation, it is only a short-term solution and dogs need to be sterilised.

“These injections cannot be used on the long term as it can later cause cancer,” said Ms Claasens.

Mr Louis and Ms Sonja Kempen, who are part of this project, gather material and then make special blankets for the animals with lining in to make them softer.

They handed these blankets out during their outreach day.

Ms Kempen put flea powder on these blankets before they handed them out.

People who want to support this project, can contact Ms Claasens at 073 072 2514 or Mr Kempen at 082 777 6671.
