Prosecutor and co-accused back in Evander court on rape charges
The two men will be back in the court dock on January 25 next year.
A 51-year-old prosecutor and his 52-year-old co-accused appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court today (October 22).
The two men face Schedule 6 charges of rape, sexual assault and crimen injuria involving an adult woman.
They were arrested on August 20 and first appeared in court on August 21.
Both accused were granted bail of R3 000 each on August 27.
The matter has been remanded to January 25, 2027, pending further investigations.
