No good news for children yet
A resident said: "Our children stay indoors because there is no entertainment for them.”
Despite the children’s unhappiness with the conditions of parks as was reported by the Standerton Advertiser recently, nothing has yet changed.
The park in Kosmospark reflects the bad state parks are in.
Parents were upset because their children have nowhere to play.
A resident said: “Our children stay indoors because there is no entertainment for them.
“Children get bored and end up looking for thrills in the wrong places.”
Most equipment in the parks need repainting or maintenance.
Long grass, which hides most of the apparatus, needs to be cut too.
Mr Sipho Mkwanazi, spokesman of the Lekwa Municipality, was asked on previous occasions for comment but failed to respond.
