Mpumalanga Premier Mabuza thanks Sasol

Sasol is salute by Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza.

SECUNDA – Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza has awarded Sasol’s Ikusasa initiative with the Batho Pele- Private Public Partnership Award at the annual Premier of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government’s Service Excellence and Youth Awards Ceremony at Graceland on 13 March.

Ikusasa, a Sasol initiative operating in the Secunda and Sasolburg communities, is a public-private partnership in line with Sasol’s commitment to sustainable development and to delivering meaningful contributions to the communities within which it operates.

Sasol has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mpumalanga Province to formalise the public-private partnership in 2012.

Mr Mabuza, said: “The partnership between Government and Sasol has not only proved that it has come a long way in promoting the private-public partnership, but has helped the provincial government with the speedily delivery of much needed services.

“We salute Sasol for having come forth to partner with us.

“Their social responsibility projects have indeed made an impact on improved services thus far.”
