Science week captures young minds

Osizweni Science Centre expected to attract more than 14 000 pupils for the National Science Week.

EVANDER – More than 14 000 pupils from Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo are expected to take part in the National Science Week at the Osizweni Science Centre from 4 to 8 August.

The event brings together a variety of exhibitors from the private sector, government departments, universities, curriculum based activities as well as mathematics, science and technology.

These exhibitions take the form of career guidance, inter active activities, Sasol plant tours, learner workshops, hands-on experiments, science shows, public lectures, indigenous technology and edutainment activities for toddlers.

The event will be officially opened by Ms Naledi Pandor, Minister of the Department of Department of Science and Technology, in Bloemfontein in the Free State on 2 August.

Osizweni was invited to be part of the programme in the form of science shows and inter-active exhibits.
