National Science Week educates pupils
Event was officially opened by Ms Naledi Pandor, Minister of the Department of Department of Science and Technology.
EVANDER – More than 14 00 pupils from Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo took part in the National Science Week at the Osizweni Science Centre from 4 to 8 August.
The event brought together a variety of exhibitors from the private sector, government departments, universities, curriculum based activities as well as mathematics, science and technology.
These exhibitions take the form of career guidance, inter active activities, Sasol plant tours, learner workshops, hands-on experiments, science shows, public lectures, indigenous technology and edutainment activities for toddlers.
The event was officially opened by Ms Naledi Pandor, Minister of the Department of Department of Science and Technology, in Bloemfontein in the Free State on 2 August.
Osizweni was invited to be part of the programme in the form of science shows and inter-active exhibits.
