Ablution blocks at Grootdraai Dam needs attention
Rubbish is being picked up and the grass is being cut, but the toilets remain unfit and unhygienic to use.
It was discovered on 14 August that the ablution block at Grootdraai Dam is not what one remembers it to be.
In the past one did not think twice to use the toilets or even have a bath, nowadays one would not consider using the ablution block at all.
The dam is being cleaned up in preparation for an upcoming Music Festival that will be taking place on the last weekend of September.
“It is uncertain where the money is going to come from to renovate the ablution block,” a reliable source said.

The windows are smashed and used nappies, the stench of which is unbearable, are all over the floor.
Toilet seats and sinks are beyond repair and you can see faeces in every hook and cranny.
“The festival attracts people from all over and the state of the ablution block does not reflect well for Standerton,” a concerned resident said.
He also said he can not understand how people can use a toilet in such an unhygienic condition, as the stench is enough to drive most people away.
