LEBOHANG – The Fundanathi Foundation took pupils from Mpumelelo Primary School and SS Mshayisa Primary School to the Jozi Book Fair Schools Programme at the Central Johannesburg College, Ellis Park, recently.

The Jozi Book Fair aims at creating a reading and writing culture in all South African languages.

The theme was Reading the Word and World and the Role of Book Clubs.

Mr Zakes Mda, author and artist, was the guest speaker.

Mr Bongani Mdaki from Fundanathi Foundation said pupils attended various workshops, such as music and lyrics, writing your own history and drama.

“The music and lyrics workshop was about writing songs.”
