SECUNDA – A Protea Coin security guard was shot in the right leg during a robbery in the Secunda CBD in front of Spar about 30 minutes ago.
Witnesses said two armed young men were involved in the robbery and wore what looked like bullet proof vests over white T shirts.
One shot the guard while the other one grabbed the money.
They then fled the scene.
Spar personnel bandaged the guard’s wound while they were waiting for an ambulance.
