Video – Secunda drug dealers appear in court

DA protests against drugs and show up in court.

UPDATE

SECUNDA -Messrs Henry Mwa and Arinze Nqele and Ms Nolovuyo Sali appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court this morning, 10 February after they were arrested yesterday for manufacturing and dealing in drugs.

The case was postponed to tomorrow for further investigations and to find a language interpreter for the two men who are Nigerians.

The three will remain in custody.

The police, members of the Crime Intelligence Unit and the Bike Squad arrived at a house in Toon van den Heever Street at 6am yesterday morning and searched the house.

They found drugs to the value of one million rand.

They also found chemicals that are used to make the drugs.

Councillors of the DA were also in court to take a stand against drugs.

“They ruin the lives of people,” said Ms Ena van Rooyen, DA councillor.

She said they plan to protest in court again.

One of the accused, Ms Sali, had charges of dealing in drugs against her last year as well.
