In 2014, a businessman on the Highveld was called to organise a men’s weekend where men can be touched and challenged by the immense love of God for the whole world.
This gentleman was soon joined by more people from different backgrounds and denominations with the same passion and purpose of serving fellow men, sons and friends.
“Specifically we want to be instruments in men’s lives by providing time for reflection, stock take and adjustment, to reach out to these men through teaching and spending time together, to encourage them to reclaim the role and authority of King, Prophet and Priest in their homes and to send them out into their communities to make a lasting difference in God’s Kingdom,” said Mpumalanga Men’s Conference organising committee spokesman, Mr Jorrie Jordaan.
He said various established men’s event models were pursued, but due to the Kingdom impact they dream of in this part of the country, they decided to call the event Mpumalanga Men’s Conference.
This conference will be focused in its approach not only to provide once-off spiritual food, but also to encourage and actively guide men to support groups at local churches in Mpumalanga after the event.
The event will be held from 8 to 10 May at the Kingdom Leadership Centre on the farm Spring Forest, 18km from Middelburg on the road to Stoffberg.
Cost per person for the weekend will be R100 and men must bring only their camping gear and food. A variety of food and refreshments can also be bought during the weekend.
Speakers, who will bring messages, include Daru de Wet, Piet (Boilermaker) Jacobs, Joe Singh and Francois Burger.
Praise and worship will be led by Retief Burger and Dewald Gouws.
Tickets can be bought at https://itickets.co.za and further contact details or info can be obtained from www.mmcmp.co.za.
Tickets are also available from Kruis Kafee, Middelburg Power Supplies and OK Grocer situated in Model Park.
