The Global Day of Prayer was founded by a South African Christian businessman, Mr Graham Power, with a vision based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 in 2000.

KINROSS – Christians from various churches will be taking part in the Global Day of Prayer march in Thistle Grove on Sunday, 24 May at 10am from Honeysuckle Street to the Kinross Police Station.

The Global Day of Prayer was founded by a South African Christian businessman, Mr Graham Power, with a vision based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 in 2000.

The vision grew into the Africa for Christ and then into the Global Day of Prayer and is now supported by Christians worldwide.

Christians from Kinross also joined the world in 2009 and began to pray for world peace and also spreads the Gospel of Jesus during Global Day of Prayer services.

“The youth of Kinross march through the streets of Thistle Grove, proclaiming the Gospel and the love of God,” said Ms Charlene Reddy, organiser for this event.

Ms Reddy said after the Global Day of Prayer, there will be 90 days of blessings during which they will be raising funds and finding people who are willing to help others in times of need.

Donations needed are food, toiletries and money and people are needed who can spend time with children in need.
