No good news for Standerton residents

The Lekwa Local Municipality will increase tariffs from 1 July.

The Lekwa Municipality has been struggling to deliver services to residents, but increased tariffs by 6% and more.

These increases will see Lekwa residents digging deeper into their pockets.

An increase of 6,5% in property rates, 6% in refuse removal, 6% in sewage, 6% in water consumption, 6% in water basic and 12,2% in electricity.

This municipality has recently faced a number of service delivery issues.
