Stanwest principal cleared of any wrongdoing

A parent alleged the Stanwest Combined School principal sold donated bicycles.

A concerned parent alleged that Mr Themba Mathebula, principal at Stanwest Combined School sold 15 bicycles that were donated to the school.

According to the parent the school received 30 bicycles and Mr Mathebula only gave out 15.

She claimed that some of the pupils, who received the bicycles, do not need them. Mr Mathebula denied the allegations, saying they only got 15 bicycles.

“I have the contracts that parents signed to prove that there were only fifteen bicycles,” Mr Mathebula said.

He said parents need to understand that he does not make decision as to who will get the bicycles or not.

“I know that there are some pupils who also need bicycles but, there were not enough for everyone,” he added.
