Municipality retracts water interruption notice

Lekwa Municipality retracts water interruption notice.

The Standerton Advertiser received a notice from the Lekwa Municipality with regards to water interruptions in certain areas on 28 June and 5 July.

“We would like to retract the notice due to the fact that the contractor is not ready to begin the project,” Mr Sipho Mkwanazi, spokesman of the municipality, said.

The affected areas will be Meyerville, the industrial area, Sakhile and Rooikoppen, but a date for the commencement of the project has not been finalised.

The Standerton Advertiser will keep the public up to date on any new developments.
