A notice is hereby given to the residents of the Lekwa Municipality that the municipality will fit a bypass line and reconnect the 450mm diameter pipeline.

A notice is hereby given to the residents of the Lekwa Municipality that the municipality will fit a bypass line and reconnect the 450mm diameter pipeline.

1. Lekwa Municipality will be connecting a 450mm pipeline on 28 June for 14 hours from 4am to 6pm and will remove the bypass on 5 July for 12 hours from 4am to 4pm.

2. There will be water interruptions during the fitting of the bypass line.

3. The communities of the industrial area, Meyerville, Sakhile and Rooikoppen will be without water on 28 June.

4. The communities of Rooikoppen and Sakhile will be without water on 5 July.

5. The municipality requests that the community in the effected areas store water in preparation for the shutdown periods

“The municipality would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause,” Mr Linda Tshabalala, municipal manager, said.
